Objective

WWCF 2019 will serve as an exclusive platform for city leaders and water experts to discuss how to utilize water as a catalyst for sustainable urban growth and development and share best practices and policies related to water management. All participants will gain new insights into the successful implementation of water policies, how to engage stakeholders and how to collaborate with participating cities.

WWCF 2019 will serve as an exclusive platform for city leaders and water experts to discuss water-related issues and solutions for each city and share best practices and policies related to water management. WWCF 2018 is a forum for discussing the way to utilize water management and water technology / water industry development as a tool for creating attractive, livable, resilient and prosperous city. All participants will gain new insights into the successful implementation of water policies, how to engage stakeholders and how to collaborate with participating cities.

WWCF 2018 Previous Outcome

Eighty local government representatives and water experts from 12 cities in 12 countries including the United States, France, the Netherlands, China, and Thailand, attended the WWCF 2018 and shared water-related policies, future strategies for water and presented best practices. Under the theme of "Cooperation for Water-friendly Cities", participants discussed their water policies at the roundtable meeting. Invitees also discussed "Innovative Water Technology and Management in the City" and "Sustainable Urban Water Management" by sharing successes and failures, and discussing measures for advancement of water industry. In 2019, the theme of "Water cities’ cooperation and innovation" will be discussed to share water-related challenges and innovative solutions in each city, and to create action plans for building world water city partnerships so that WWCF can serve as a pivotal platform in strengthening world water cities cooperation.
